Lion of Export In April 2005, BEST received the Flanders Export Award, “The Lion of the Export”. With this award the Belgian authorities wanted to reward BEST because it is persistently looking for new markets, develops new products and networks, participates at worldwide expositions, creates marketing tools in several languages, etc. During the last three years, the company has kept on growing (to 35 countries) and the number of employees has also tripled.

Hermes In 2000, the company was recognised as the top laureate for the Hermes Prize. This prize is attributed to companies that have the best results for the efficient application of management principles. The jury rewarded the company for its technological innovation culture, its customer driven approach and its export policy.

Export manager In 1999, Bert Van der Auwera, our Sales & Marketing Director, was declared "Belgian Business & Industry" as the best Export Manager of the year. BEST swept the foreign markets with the laser sorters in Turkey, Poland, South Africa, Australia, Iceland, Greece, France, The Netherlands, Scandinavië, Spain, etc.

Independent entrepreneur In 1999, BEST was rewarded as the best independent entrepeneur of the year 98. This prize was given by the National Liberal Association for Entrepeneurs and de KBC bank & insurance company.

Young entrepeneur The King Baudouin Young Entrepeneurs Foundation awarded its "oscar" to BEST in 1998. The company was recognized as the best of its year for turning new ideas into business reality, and for outstanding initiative and success from the very beginning.
