Best USA Inc. is the North American Distribution and Service Centre for optical/electronic sorters from BEST NV.

We have currently the position of FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER for the Central and Southern Valley available:

- Install new systems at customer sites mainly in Central and Southern Valley but also in the rest of the
USA and occasionally also at other international customer sites
- Perform all mechanical, electric, electronic and optical tuning and setup
- Analyse, evaluate and diagnose equipment problems independently
- Conduct customer-training sessions on utilization and basic maintenance of system
- Service and maintain installed equipment as required
- Assist and support customers in a professional manner
- Perform on-call standby duty and travel as required

This is an excellent opportunity for the adventurer, as there will be extensive travel, both domestic and international. Initial training on our systems will be conducted in the USA, advanced annual training is conducted in Europe.

Our North-American customer base stretches from Newfoundland to Bakersfield and from Vancouver to Albany, GA and into Mexico. Occasionally we provide service to our corporate customers world-wide. (South-America, Australia, Far-East)

Your minimum qualifications should be:

• Associates degree in electronic engineering, equivalent military training and/or equivalent experience
• A working knowledge of basic analog and digital circuits, electrical power circuits, PLC circuits
• Working knowledge of basic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and voltmetres
• Good knowledge of computer hardware and configurations
• English speaking, knowledge of Spanish is a plus
• A valid driving license and a good driving record
