BEST introduced its new Genius 2000 mm Optical Sorter for high-volume processing with maximum detection and removal of foreign material and defective products. This unique sorter combines all advantages of the flexible electronic platform, through which the Graphical User Interface translates the customers’ sorting requirements, with a 2000mm belt width to process large capacities. So named “frame grabs”, which reflect a real picture shot of the good and bad product, can be taken without difficulty via the touch screen. The definition of the good product has never been more accurate as the threshold is not linear anymore but 3 dimensional. Thanks to its new open mechanical design, the optical windows are easy accessible and maintenance is reduced to a minimum. With the introduction of the new 2000 mm model, the Genius is now available with four belt widths: 640, 1200, 1600 and 2000. The belt can easily being replaced due to its cantilever frame.
