Camera Sorter

Magnets
Magnets are a well-known, reliable and economic solution for recovery of all ferrous metals.
The rare earth drum magnets which we build into our sorters require no electrical power, have a high sorting efficiency, and are available in a number of sizes depending on the customer’s requirements.
Other types of magnets (overbelt for example) are available on request.

Eddy Current
Our Eddy Current sorters are used successfully all over the world to separate non-ferrous metals out of different product streams. We generate a high frequency magnetic field at the end of the belt by rapidly rotating a permanent magnet. This rapidly changing magnetic field generates Eddy Currents in the metal parts that pass through it. These Eddy currents, on their turn, create their own magnetic field.
The wonderful fact is now that the second magnetic field (coming from the eddy current in the metal piece that passes) opposes the first magnetic field (coming from the fast rotating permanent magnet). As a result the (non-ferrous) metal piece ‘jumps’ out of the material flow and can be separated from the non-metal pieces. Since this rejection is based on a natural force there is no need for air or paddle rejection systems.
Eddy Currents are offered in a variety of sizes, both concentric and eccentric, to suit every customer’s requirements.

Induction
Our induction sorters are the most sensitive metal sorters on the market. Even small wires or embedded metals are precisely detected. Any metal piece that passes our sensors gets noticed and can be rejected based on the customer’s requirements.

Induction sensors can be seen as coils that have a certain induction. When a metal piece passes through the magnetic field generated by the coil the induction of the coil changes. It is this change that is measured and enables us to determine when a metal piece passes. When the change of induction is greater than the chosen threshold value, we generate a reject-signal and at the exact time a paddle or air valve rejects the metal pieces out of the material stream. The result is typically a metal-free fraction where all metals are removed. (In case the customer only wants to reject the Stainless steel for example, this is also possible, please discuss the different possibilities by contacting us.)
